(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 11, 2026 – Alex Pokorski and the GR8 Team turned in a 2026 season-best fourth-place showing in an open 410 Sprint Car event at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Pokorski opened the night by qualifying fourth in the 14-car field with a lap of 12.736 seconds on the venerable three-eighths-mile semi-banked clay oval. After starting and finishing second in the second eight-lap heat race, Pokorski earned a spot in the four-lap dash to set the front two rows of the main event.
A fourth-place dash showing gave the seventh-year Sprint Car competitor an outside second row starting spot in the 20-lap headliner. The West Bend, Wis. native stayed inside the top five throughout the non-stop race, coming home with a season-best fourth-place A-main finish.
“It was a good night,” Pokorski said. “We had a shock go bad for the heat race, but I managed to hold onto a dash spot. The track was a bit treacherous with a big curb in the feature, but I had fun racing on it. I’m happy to have a good result.”
The next confirmed event for the Alex Pokorski-GR8 Team is a doubleheader with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19.
