The Sheboygan Common Council is scheduled to vote on whether or not to approve the master plan for the waterfront and marina when it meets at 6 PM in City Hall tonight. The plans have been under development since the City announced its intentions to revitalize the lakefront and facilities in late 2023. After years of planning and several community meetings held to gather public input, the master plan developed by Edgewater Resources has been recommended for adoption by the Public Works Committee.
The plan addresses waterfront facilities, maximizing efficiency of new buildings and services; parking and traffic, and improved pedestrian connection from the waterfront to the downtown, lakefront, beach and lighthouse.
