Two higher learning institutions with similar names will soon share room on the same campus as Lakeland University begins its physical presence on the Lakeshore College Campus in Cleveland. To mark the occasion, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house will be held on September 10th from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Cedar Building in the Office of Student Life at Lakeshore College.
Remarks will be offered by Lakeland University President Dr. Beth Borgen and Lakeshore College President Dr. Paul Carlsen at 11 AM. Visitors can learn more about how students benefit from the partnership between the two schools which now begins the next chapter in their relationship.
Lakeshore College becomes the 8th Wisconsin technical college campus where Lakeland has a presence, but the two have cooperated for years and, in 2025, the two were jointly honored as the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation’s Economic Driver of the Year for their collective impact on workforce development, educational opportunity and economic growth throughout Sheboygan County.
