A fourth-grade classroom at Wilson Elementary School has a fresh new look and plenty of new ways for students to learn. Fourth-grade teacher Kiley Elsing was recently selected as a winner of the 2026 HON Learning Space Giveaway—which is an opportunity that brought together The HON Company, a maker of office furniture, and Emmons Business Interiors (EBi) to transform her classroom.
Selected from hundreds of entries, Elsing’s vision for an engaging learning environment came to life through a classroom makeover featuring new student workspaces, collaborative tables, flexible seating, storage, and more.
The classroom now includes 30 new student workstations with white markerboard surfaces, along with a variety of seating options designed to give students flexibility in how and where they work. The space also features ottomans, floor cushions, stools, chairs, and collaborative tables, as well as new bookcases and storage. In all, more than $60,000 in furnishings were provided through the makeover.
