Fond du Lac County authorities are trying to locate a driver that took officers on a 34-mile chase through that county on Thursday night.
It was about 10:25 PM when several callers reported a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of US Highway 151 in the Town of Lamartine. A State Patrol Trooper joined multiple deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office in a search for that vehicle.
The Trooper spotted the vehicle which then evaded a stop and headed southbound on I-41 at 110 MPH. The suspect exited onto Highway 67, then Highway 175, eventually heading east on Highway 28. The State Patrol Trooper said he was ending his pursuit as the vehicle exited first onto County Road D and then onto Woodford Drive where the vehicle began losing control due to damage caused by erratic driving. It eventually ended up in a ditch.
The driver fled on foot and could not be located despite a search by K9 and drone teams. Three passengers in the vehicle were interviewed and eventually released as not being involved in the incident. Investigators were able to identify the suspect as a 38-year-old Milwaukee man with numerous felony warrants.
No injuries or damage to property were reported.
