Officials in Fond du Lac County continue pursuing new leads in the cold-case investigation into the disappearance of Bobby Jo Fritz in 1983.
Earlier this year, detectives recovered items of interest and potential evidence during an excavation at the Campbellsport residence where Bobby Jo lived at the time of his disappearance. Those items are being studied at a private laboratory and results are pending.
Meanwhile, detectives have begun new excavations in southeast Fond du Lac County after identifying areas of interest that could yield more evidence. As the case remains active, new information will only be released when doing so doesn’t compromise case integrity.
The then-6-year-old Robert Fritz was last seen playing outside with his siblings on May 14th, 1983.
