Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson
Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson has been elected along with the mayors of Milwaukee, Denver, Miami, Mesa (AZ) and Bakersfield (CA) to the US Conference of Mayors’ advisory board.
The US Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization representing cities with populations of 30,000 or more. The organization includes 1,407 mayors and other chief elected officials from across the country.
Upon his election, Sorenson said that, “Sheboygan has earned a seat at the national table, amplifying our voice. This role gives us an opportunity to advocate for the investments, partnerships, and policies that will help our city continue to grow and thrive. I am deeply honored by the confidence my fellow mayors have placed in me, and I look forward to ensuring that Sheboygan’s perspective helps shape the future of America’s cities.”
The USMC’s key functions include developing effective urban policy, building federal-city relationships, and creating a shared forum for urban leadership.
