The City of Sheboygan has extended the timeline for eventual approval of its Comprehensive Plan, an item that received Committee approval this past week…amid objections…and was scheduled for Common Council consideration on Monday. Instead, it will be taken up at the November 2nd Common council meeting.
Mayor Ryan Sorenson said that “We recognize that community members want more time and more avenues to share their perspectives. this extension is intended to create space for those conversations and strengthen the overall planning process.”
The Comprehensive Plan lays out a long-term guide for the city’s growth, development, and investment. Residents are encouraged to contact their alders with input or specific feedback during the extension, and additional information and updates will be posted at https://www.sheboyganwi.gov/601/Comprehensive-Plan
