All those beautiful potted plants that have been growing outdoors will need your help if you want them to remain beautiful, as the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning tonight, in effect from 1 AM until 9 AM Saturday morning. Forecasters expect everyone to experience frosty conditions, and temperatures will likely dip to, or below the freezing mark, even near the lakeshore.
Rain that’s been with us for the last day or so should abate by this afternoon in time to move those plants. While you’re out there, outdoor plumbing should be protected and hoses disconnected from faucets to prevent damage.
And if you have football games to attend tonight, dress for wind chill readings in the low-mid 30s on northwest winds gusting to 30 MPH.
