If you heard a loud boom and your power went out last night, you’re not alone. The apparent failure of a power transformer near South Business Drive and Union Avenue in Sheboygan caused an explosion that, according to witness reports, set fire to the power pole holding it.
The noise was heard for many blocks around the site, but fortunately the power interruption that resulted was brief by most accounts.
